Obtainable on versions XE and XF. After your first Digimon has died, and after Area 45 is cleared, keep a Perfect or higher stage Digimon alive for more than 48 hours after its most recent evolution. Once it dies, attempt to start a new egg and press YES.
Care MistakesHow many care mistakes are required to evolve. The number of full skulls indicates how many care mistakes are required, while half skulls indicate that a care mistake is optional. In the example to the left, 1 care mistake is required, but 2 or 3 will also work, though 4 will not. For evolving into Stage III or IV, if 4 Care Mistakes are indicated as working for evolution, more than 4 Care Mistakes will also work. For evolving into Stage VI or VI+, more than 5 care mistakes will immediately kill your Digimon when it is time for it to evolve. |
|
Effort HeartsHow many effort hearts are required to evolve. The number of full hearts indicates how many effort hearts are required, while half hearts indicate that an effort heart is optional. In the example to the left, 2 effort hearts are required, but 3 or 4 will also work. |
|
LevelWhat the required levels for this evolution are. This can either be a single number if only one level will work, or a range. In this example, the Digimon can be level 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and still meet the requirement for this evolution. |
|
Defeat Stage VI DigimonIn order to evolve to Digimon with this requirement, you must defeat a specific number of Stage VI Digimon. Stage VI is more commonly referred to as Ultimate or Mega. In this example, your Digimon must defeat 5 or more Stage VI Digimon in order for it to evolve on this path. This only works for Quest battles, Connection battles do not count. |
|
Other Conditions Not MetIf you raise a Digimon that doesn't meet the requirements for other evolutions, it will follow this path. For example, if you have Tokomon X on the Black device, and you get 1 care mistake, but only get 3 effort hearts, you will get Agumon X. You don't get Herrismon since it requires 2 Care Mistakes, and you won't get Renamon X because it requires 4 effort hearts. |
|
Clear AreaWhile evolution options unlocked from Quest Mode will remain unlocked for all future Digimon you raise, certain Digimon also need to clear a specific area in order to evolve. When this is the case, wait until you have evolved into the appropriate Stage VI Digimon, and defeat the Boss of the designated area. In the case of evolving Diablomon X into Ogudomon X, the evolution will happen immediately. Otherwise, evolution will occur at the normal 48 hour mark. |
A care mistake occurs any time the Call Light goes out without the Digimon's need being take care of. Your Digimon will call when its Hunger or Strength Hearts empty, or when it is time for it to go to bed. You have 10 minutes to refill hearts and 30 minutes to put a Digimon to bed before the Call Light goes out and you get a Care Mistake. If Hunger and Strength empty at the same time, each will count as its own care mistake, even if the Call Light goes out at the same time for both. If an empty meter is not filled after the call light goes out on its own, your Digimon will call again after some time, which can lead to more care mistakes if not taken care of. Poop, injury, sickness, and waking a sleeping or tired Digimon do not count as Care Mistakes.
Every four times you Train, you will get an Effort Heart. It does not matter if the Training is successful, it will count.
Unless you get 20 Care Mistakes, Sicknesses or Injuries, your Digimon is guaranteed to evolve into Stage V. If a Stage V Digimon has fulfilled its specific requirements for reaching Stage VI, it is guaranteed to reach that stage. The time your Digimon spends sleeping will count towards its evolution timer, but time spent in Cold Mode will not. Please note that you may experience minor variances in evolution times for some stages.
Current Stage Time to Next Stage I 10 Minutes II 12 Hours III 24 Hours IV 32 Hours V 40 Hours VI 48 Hours
Once your Digimon evolves, only its battle stats will carry over. Care Mistakes, Effort Hearts, Level, Number of Stage VI Digimon Defeated, Sicknesses and Injuries all reset upon evolution.
The evolution requirements will only show stats are are actually required, hence them being called that. Not all stats are required for evolving, and if a specific stat isn't listed, this means it does not matter at all. For example, Agumon X does not list how much Effort is needed to evolve into Damemon. This is because it does not matter, Agumon X will evolve into Damemon X by simply having 3 or more care mistakes, no matter much Effort it has.
When you click on a Digimon in the guide, sometimes you will see bullet points listing multiple requirements. In these cases, you only need to choose one of the bullet points, as these are all independent requirements. For example, Gomamon X has two bullet points for evolving into Kuwagamon X. One reads "0-2 Care Mistakes, 0-1 Effort" while the other reads "Area 10 Not Cleared, 0-2 Care Mistake, 2-4 Effort". You will meet the requirement by fulfilling either of those conditions upon reaching the evolution window. Please keep in mind that if a bullet point doesn't mention an area being cleared, then that evolution requirement is possible no matter what area you have cleared. In the case of this Gomamon X example, the first bullet does not say anything about areas, even though the second one does. This means that 0-2 Care Mistakes and 0-1 effort will result in Kuwagamon X before and after Area 10 is cleared, it does not matter.
No, all battles will work regardless of whether you win or lose. Requirements will specifically mention victories if they are necessary.
No, once you have cleared an area it will unlock specific evolutions, and those evolutions will always remain available. You do not have to clear an area again to get specific evolutions. The only exceptions are when a requirement says specifically to clear an area as that Digimon, such as Diablomon X on versions XE and XF, which must clear Area 44 every time in order to evolve.
You can get a traited egg by keeping your Digimon alive for 48 hours after its most recent evolution. If you meet the conditions for the Kera Egg on Versions XE and XF, a Computer will appear instead of a Traited Egg. Attempting to start a new egg will result in a question appearing on the screen. Answering Yes will let you raise a Traited Kera Egg, while answering No will let you raise a normal Traited egg.
Traited eggs set your minimum level to 3 instead of 1, which your level does affect evolution.
Area SP can only be unlocked by battling Version XA with XB, XC with XD, or XE with XF. The "X" battle option must be chosen from the connection menu, "OTHER" will not work for unlocking Area SP. Once unlocked, you can beat this area to unlock Dukemon X on Versions XA and XB, Leviamon X on XC and XD, or Alphamon: Ouryuken on XE and XF.
Every day when your Digimon wakes up, the XAI will roll. The roll you get determines what random encounters you will get. If you roll a 6 or a 7, you may encounter Minervamon X on XA, Lord Knightmon X on XB, Demon X on XC, Lucemon X on XD, Dukemon X on XE or Omegamon X on XF. Despite being presented as random, they will generally happen 5-10 minutes after the XAI has been rolled for the day, after participation in battles, after feeding or after training. In order to unlock the aforementioned Digimon on your device, you must defeat it in one of these random encounters. You can force the XAI to reroll by setting the time on your device to 23:59 and waiting 1 minute for it to become 00:00. Then set your time to 06:59 and let your Digimon wake up. Repeat until you roll a 6 or 7. If you are successful, train your Digimon and wait 1 hour while closely monitoring to see if you get the encounter. If you don't, repeat the process, including re-rolling the XAI.
There are two methods for unlocking this evolution option. The first is to win 200 battles total. This doesn't need to be done with one Digimon, it's a cumulative total as shown when you go the Library icon and view the Record. After winning 200 battles, the next boss you beat will unlock Beelzebumon X's evolution. Alternatively, you can battle your Version XC or XD with a XA or XB and Beelzebumon X will unlock after that battle.
No, only Jesmon X from version XF can be used to evolve into Jesmon GX.

Yes, as far as connections go, there are no meaningful differences between the English and Japanese devices. Any XA device will unlock Area SP by connecting to any XB device, no matter what language they are in, and likewise for any other version specific connections.
