Before reviewing the below charts, I'd recommend toggling the Legend on the lower left to get familiar with what the different requirements mean. The button on the lower right will show an FAQ that answers many common questions about raising Digimon. You can click on any Digimon image below to see more details about that Digimon as well. Use the version selector above to display only charts that are available on your device, and use the abbreviations to jump to a specific chart.

Kera

Obtainable on versions XE and XF. After your first Digimon has died, and after Area 45 is cleared, keep a Perfect or higher stage Digimon alive for more than 48 hours after its most recent evolution. Once it dies, attempt to start a new egg and press YES.

Care Mistakes

How many care mistakes are required to evolve. The number of full skulls indicates how many care mistakes are required, while half skulls indicate that a care mistake is optional. In the example to the left, 1 care mistake is required, but 2 or 3 will also work, though 4 will not. For evolving into Stage III or IV, if 4 Care Mistakes are indicated as working for evolution, more than 4 Care Mistakes will also work. For evolving into Stage VI or VI+, more than 5 care mistakes will immediately kill your Digimon when it is time for it to evolve.

Effort Hearts

How many effort hearts are required to evolve. The number of full hearts indicates how many effort hearts are required, while half hearts indicate that an effort heart is optional. In the example to the left, 2 effort hearts are required, but 3 or 4 will also work.

Level

What the required levels for this evolution are. This can either be a single number if only one level will work, or a range. In this example, the Digimon can be level 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and still meet the requirement for this evolution.

Defeat Stage VI Digimon

In order to evolve to Digimon with this requirement, you must defeat a specific number of Stage VI Digimon. Stage VI is more commonly referred to as Ultimate or Mega. In this example, your Digimon must defeat 5 or more Stage VI Digimon in order for it to evolve on this path. This only works for Quest battles, Connection battles do not count.

Other Conditions Not Met

If you raise a Digimon that doesn't meet the requirements for other evolutions, it will follow this path. For example, if you have Tokomon X on the Black device, and you get 1 care mistake, but only get 3 effort hearts, you will get Agumon X. You don't get Herrismon since it requires 2 Care Mistakes, and you won't get Renamon X because it requires 4 effort hearts.

Clear Area

While evolution options unlocked from Quest Mode will remain unlocked for all future Digimon you raise, certain Digimon also need to clear a specific area in order to evolve. When this is the case, wait until you have evolved into the appropriate Stage VI Digimon, and defeat the Boss of the designated area. In the case of evolving Diablomon X into Ogudomon X, the evolution will happen immediately. Otherwise, evolution will occur at the normal 48 hour mark.
