Care MistakesHow many care mistakes are required to evolve. The number of full skulls indicates how many care mistakes are required, while half skulls indicate that a care mistake is optional. In the example to the left, you could simply not get any care mistakes, but you can get up to 3 and still meet the requirement. |

TrainingHow many training sessions are required to evolve. Training sessions count whether successful or not. In the example to the left, you must train between 11 and 19 times to fullill this condition. You can use Effort Hearts to help keep tracking of your training, but these don't always line up exactly with the number of trainings needed. For example, if I did 10 trainings I would have 2 Effort Hearts. The example to the left requires 11 training, which would also display as 2 Effort Hearts. |

Fill SlotIndicates that you must be able to see a Digimon in your Album for the given slot number. For DigiXros Digimon, you must utilize that DigiXros at least once for it to appear in your Album. In the example to the left, you must have selected Shoutmon X5B as a DigiXros in battle at least one time to add it to your Album, thus fulfilling the requirement. |

World ClearedIndicates that you must have beaten the boss of the given World in order to meet this requirement. The boss only needs to be defeated once, once that is done the requirement will remain fulfilled forever, even when hatching new Digimon. |

Event BattleTo become Armamon, you must defeat Armamon. Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little more about fighting than you do pal. To defeat Armamon, you must encounter in an Event Battle. To activate its Event Battle, you must clear World F as the Digimon from which you wish it to evolve. To clear World F, you must unlock World F. To unlock World F, you must raise Gumdramon. To raise Gumdramon, you must DigiXros into Shoutmon X7. To Digixros into Shoutmon X7... this will go on forever if I let it. |

Other Conditions Not MetIf you raise a Digimon that doesn't meet the requirements for other evolutions, it will follow this path. For example, if you have Pickmon, and you either haven't filled Slot 19, or you have done so and didn't Train at least 11 times, then you get Shoutmon. |
A care mistake occurs any time the Call Light goes out on its own without the Digimon's need being take care of. Your Digimon will call when its Hunger or Strength Hearts empty, or when it is time for it to go to bed. You have 10 minutes to refill hearts and 1 hour to put a Digimon to bed before the Call Light goes out and you get a Care Mistake. If Hunger and Strength empty at the same time, each will count as its own care mistake, even if the Call Light goes out at the same time for both. If an empty meter is not filled after the call light goes out on its own, your Digimon will call again when its hunger or loss timer next ends. It will not call again for sleep. Poop, injury and waking a sleeping or tired Digimon do not count as Care Mistakes.
Every five times you Train, you will get an Effort Heart. It does not matter if the Training is successful, it will count towards evolution and your current Effort Heart total. Effort hearts cannot be reduced.
Unless you kill it first, your Digimon is guaranteed to evolve into Stage III. Otherwise you will only evolve if all requirements shown are met. If your evolution timer expires and you did not meet the requirements in time, then the timer will start over and it will check again in the same amount of time. When this occurs, Care Mistakes are reset. The time your Digimon spends sleeping also counts towards its evolution timer. The times above are the official times from Bandai, but you may experience minor variances.
Current Stage Time to Next Stage I 10 Minutes II 30 Minutes III 12-16 Hours IV 18 Hours - What carries over after evolution?
Win Ratio is the only thing that carries over after evolution. Care Mistakes, Trainings and Injuries all reset upon evolution.- A requirement doesn't mention a specific stat, how do I know how much of that stat I need?
The evolution requirements will only show stats are are actually required, hence them being called that. Not all stats are required for evolving, and if a specific stat isn't listed, this means it does not matter at all.- What does it mean if the evolution requirements on this guide show multiple bullet points?
When you click on a Digimon in the guide, sometimes you will see bullet points listing multiple requirements. In these cases, you only need to choose one of the bullet points, as these are all independent requirements.- How on Earth am I supposed to get the Armamon, I don't even see World F as an option?
Remember the long trading quest in Link's Awakening? Oh, you only played the console Zeldas? OK, Ocarina of Time then, to get the Biggoron Sword. Same idea here, you have to follow a specific sequence. Here's the exact list of actions that need to be performed to actually get Armamon.
- Clear World 8
- Defeat Metal Greymon (2010) in an Event Battle
- Raise Zeke Greymon
- Raise Omega Shoutmon (can be done at any time before next step)
- Use Shoutmon DX in battle
- Use Shoutmon EX6 in battle
- Use Shoutmon X7 in battle
- Raise Gumdramon
- Clear World 19 (can be done at any time before next step)
- Defeat the final boss of World F as the Digimon that can evolve (Omega Shoutmon, Arresterdramon or Zeke Greymon)
- Wait about 10 seconds for the Event Battle with Armamon to occur. If you lose, train or battle 3 times to retrigger it. If you win, you have met the requirement.
- When the current evolution timer ends, your Digimon will evolve into Armamon.
The first 9 setps only need to be done once, while steps 10-12 must be done as Digimon currently being raised.- How do I get a traited egg?
When a Stage IV or higher Digimon dies, it will leave a Traited Egg if that Digimon's Win Ratio was 60% or higher, regardless of the number of battles or time spent in that form. The egg will appear on the screen behind the grave of your Digimon, and the Digimon that hatches from it will receive a bonus to its Power. Details of that Power Bonus are on the Manual page.- What will cause my Digimon to die?
- Getting injured 12 times in one form
- Remaining injured for 6 hours consecutive in one form
- Getting 18 Care Mistakes for Hunger in a row without refilling the Hunger meter completely
- Getting 18 Care Mistakes for Strength in a row without refilling the Strength meter completely
- Reaching Age 5 and having 15 or more Care Mistakes in one form
- Having 5 or more Care Mistakes when or after the evolution timer for your Stage IV or V has been in that form for 48 hours
- Can the Xros Wars Color connect to other two-pronged V-Pets?
Only to those in the Digimon Color series, it cannot connect to any black and white devices.
